Purple Twilight

A hush falls though
In the silence
I look at you

You gaze out toward the trees
The light catches your face
You get down on one knee

The sun begins to sink
You open the box
I don't have to think

Yes! I cry
A smile comes to your face
As a different color breaks the sky

Geese break into flight
A mix of red and blue, bittersweet
A purple kind of twilight
